Getting there
Slide the fork legs into the stanchions......................
Just a quick question: I notice your stanchions aren't flush with the top of the top yoke - I can't seem to get mine to come flush. Was that as far as you could get yours or just where you decided to put them?
The stantions should just slot into the top yolk you may need to bounce the front up and down before you tighten them up so they fall into the correct place....then fasten the pinch bolts on the bottom yolk.......your stantions should be a slight cone on the end and the yolks should match ......hope this helps

ReplyDeleteThanks Paul.
ReplyDeleteIf yours are in right - mine are too. I remember the taper on the end I just assumed they would end up seated flush.
That's good news - I'll do up the pinch bolts and crack on with the rest of it.
If at any point you are pulling your side covers apart and few pictures of how they go together would be hugely helpful....! :-)
Thank you ....... i will have more to come but have been busy with work of late !
